The Washington High School jazz band members will be playing at a restaurant in downtown Washington this week. Director Don Hughes tells KCII News, 35 students will be involved mixing to form three different jazz groups. The Funk Puppies will be playing Steam Shuffle, Satin Doll , and Keeper of the Flame. The Competition Band will perform Carnival, St. James Infirmary, and Count Bubba. Jazzasaurus will play Teddy the Toad, Cheesecake, Put on a Happy Face, Crescent River Ramble, and Do Nothin’ Til You Hear From Me. The music starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at JP’s 207.
