The Riverside City Council is moving forward with planning for construction projects this coming summer. Mayor Allen Schneider tells KCII News that the biggest project will be the Ella Street project, a major north-south artery through the community. A $1.1 million construction contract was approved at the most recent council meeting. Schneider says there will be some inconvenience with the construction, but the plan is to keep at least one lane of traffic open. Crews will be doing curb and gutter work, as well as improve the sidewalks. Schneider says the project will be a nice improvement for the City of Riverside.
