Stewart Elementary School and Wellman Elementary School students in the Operation Backpack Programs received hand made pillowcases in their supplies recently. Washington County 4-H members took part in the Ready, Set, Sew! Workshop earlier this month and sewed the pillowcases with bright, youth patterns. Barbie Ford, 4-H volunteer, led the workshops and she delivered 13 pillowcases to Stewart Elementary. Amy Green, 4-H and Youth Coordinator for Washington County, said the program “is a great model of what 4-H is about in giving to others.”
