The final indoor track meet of the season takes place tomorrow for the Washington Demon girls’ track team. The Demons are set to compete in the Central Indoor Track Meet in Pella. Washington girls’ track coach Stefanie Tschantz says the meet allows teams unlimited entries for each event and plans on having each athlete compete in at least two. The event is an opportunity for teams to run against competition statewide, but won’t

Washington’s season debuted March 3 in Mount Vernon, hosting the Demon Indoor Meet. Washington came away with a handful of top 10 performances. The best finishes for the Demons came in the field events. Senior Amber Salow placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet 4 inches, while senior McKayla Miller had the ninth best throw in the shot put event, hurling it 30 feet 10.5 inches

Members of the Lone Tree Lions and the WACO Warriors girls track teams are also set to compete at the Central Indoor Meet. First events begin at 10 a.m. at Central College in Pella.
