A recent Washington graduate concluded her freshman season competing for a Division III ice hockey team in New Hampshire. The Daniel Webster Eagles based in Nashua went winless in their 18 games on the ice this season.

Stephanie Evans, a 2015 graduate of Washington, played in 17 of the Eagles games this season and ended the year as the team’s leading scorer with four goals. Daniel Webster scored 15 total goals this season. Evans scored the team’s lone goal in their season finale, a 10-1 loss to the Becker Hawks of Massachusetts. Prior to the game, Daniel Webster hadn’t scored a goal in five straight contests.

Hockey isn’t the only sport Evans participates in for the college. She was the starting goal keeper on the Eagles women’s soccer team this fall, and was voted the New England Collegiate Conference’s Goalkeeper of the Year. Evans started all 15 games in the net for the Eagles soccer team, making 279 saves. She recorded eight 20-plus save performances during the Eagles 1-12-2 regular season run.
