The Mid-Prairie boys track team opened the indoor season on Tuesday, March 15th at the Iowa State University High School Indoor Classic on the campus of ISU.

Mid-Prairie took seven individuals to the competition. In the field events junior Levi Duwa finished sixth out of 105 throwers in the shotput with his toss of 49’2. Marshal Teets finished 22nd out of the 60 in the high jump with a leap of 5’8″.

In individual running events Jackson Young finished 121st out of 141 in the 60m dash with a time of 8.02 seconds. Quinn Schmidt was 54 out of 134 in the 400m dash with a time of 55.72 seconds.

The Golden Hawks also participated in two relay events. The 4×800 relay team of Floyd Evans, Luke Sigler, Ryan Errthum and Peyton Miller was 13th out of 61 competing teams with a time of 8:46.47. The Mid-Prairie 1600m relay team of Jackson Young, Marshal Teets, Quinn Schmidt and Peyton Miller was 10th out of 61 competing teams with a time of 3:54.61.

The Mid-Prairie boys track team will next be in action Thursday, March 24th at the Demon Relays at Case Field in Washington.
