Postseason honors continue to accumulate for two members of the Highland Huskies girls’ basketball team (18-6 overall). The Iowa Basketball Coaches Association released the names of their All-Region teams, and Highland senior Cheyanne Adamson and junior Kelsey Hora were named to the Class 2A Region 5 squad.

Adamson, a four-year varsity player, ended her career as the team’s leading facilitator, dishing out 100 assists. She also finished second on the team in scoring (367), rebounds (171) and steals (87). Adamson recorded 20 points, nine steals, and nine assists in two postseason games.

Hora was two points shy of scoring 400 points during her junior campaign, the most produced by a Huskies player this year. Her 98 steals were tops on the team and one behind Pekin’s Beth Atwood for the most in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference. Hora accumulated 29 points, 10 steals, and nine assists during Highland’s postseason run.

Highland ended the season with an overall record of 18-6, a three-win improvement from last year.
