One man’s cancer fundraising effort will take him on a state wide run next month. Ryan Wade of Iowa City is preparing to run over 250 miles from the state’s northern border straight south near Missouri line in an effort to raise money as part of the criteria for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) “Man & Woman of the Year” campaign. Wade has been nominated for the LLS Man of the Year for eastern Iowa.

Wade will begin the run on April 19th in Eitzen, Minnesota , concluding the trek on April 25th in Farmington, Iowa. His journey will make its way to Washington County on April 23rd and 24th, making a stop in Kalona as a way to spread awareness about Leukemia and Lymphoma and honoring those current or former patients battling the diseases. People are encouraged to join Wade on his run throughout the state.
