Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball received accolades last week from the Southeast Iowa Supconference, with three players being named to all-conference squads.

Senior guard Eli Gingerich was a unanimous first team all Southeast Iowa Superconference selection, the second time he has received such honors. Gingerich led IMS in scoring at 18 points per game, second best in the conference. Gingerich’s 144 assists were also second best in league play. His 77 steals were second best in the north and his 10 blocked shots were 10th best in the conference. Gingerich also led IMS with 104 rebounds.

Junior guard Nick Yutzy was a second team all-conference selection. Yutzy was second in scoring for Iowa Mennonite at 11 points per game. His 98 assists were fourth best in the conference.

IMS junior forward Drake Brezina was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Brezina averaged seven points per game this season, his 104 rebounds tied him for the team lead.

IMS ended their season at 12-11 overall. They were eliminated in the first round of district play at Lone Tree, 50-43, February 18th.
