The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls track team looks to build on the success of 2015 this upcoming season.

A year ago, Iowa Mennonite sent two athletes to Des Moines for state a season ago with Riley Schemeider qualifying in the 3000m run and Drake Brezina punching his ticket in the long jump. Once there, Schmeider, the lone senior on the team, was a medalist in her event, taking seventh place in a time of 11:18.35. While some of the experience and success graduates, Brezina is back along with a young, eager core for IMS. For girls team, Schmeider departs with graduation but the team is evenly split between veteran leaders and youth who can contribute.

IMS opens the boys season on March 18th and the girls season March 19th at the Central College Indoor meets in Pella.
