The Sigourney boys basketball team finished the 2015-16 season with an 11-12 overall record.

The Savages were 9-8 in the South Iowa Cedar League. Sigourney played their best basketball at the end of the year, opening the month of February with three straight wins before they were eliminated from the playoffs. The Sigourney offense was third in the conference, averaging 57 points per game. The Savages shot 42% from the floor, third best in the league. They were second in rebounding, pulling in 737 boards as a team. The Sigourney defense was third in the conference allowing 55 points per game. Their 192 steals were third best in league play, and the Savages 69 blocked shots were second best in conference play.

Individually, Sigourney was led by Blaine Gretter, who averaged 19 points per game, best in the conference, Gretter was also the leader on the glass for Sigourney with 208 rebounds, second best in the league. Peyton Crawford led the Savages with 116 assists, top of the SICL, Crawford was also second in the conference with 58 steals.

Sigourney ended their season in the second round of districts, falling to the rival Keota Eagles in Montezuma 61-53.
