The WACO Warrior boys basketball team ended the 2015-16 season with an overall record of 5-19.

The Warriors were 2-14 in conference play, finishing in ninth place. WACO started the season 0-3 but bounced back with consecutive wins over Louisa-Muscatine and Holy Trinity Catholic to climb back near the .500 mark. From there WACO would suffer through a stretch of 15 straight losses. Again, WACO bounced back to end the season, finishing the regular year with back to back wins over Columbus, then winning their first round playoff game, avenging an earlier season loss to Holy Trinity Catholic in round one with a 51-48 win on the road.

Offensively, WACO struggled this season, shooting just 33% from the floor, they found themselves at the bottom of the conference. The Warriors averaged just 43 points per game, ninth in the SEISC, and committed 456 turnovers, most in the conference. The WACO defense kept the Warriors in a majority of their games this season. WACO finished fourth in the conference with 217 steals. WACO also led the conference on the glass, pulling in 819 rebounds as a team and allowed 50 points per game, fourth best in the league.

Individually, the Warriors were led by junior Jackson Roth and his 12 points per game. Roth also paced the team with 60 assists. Roth’s 68 steals were best for the Warriors, and third best in the conference. Bryce Achen led WACO on the glass, pulling in 177 rebounds, fourth best in conference play. WACO ended their season in the second round of district play, falling to eventual state qualifier Danville 63-47 in Burlington.
