The WACO girls basketball team wrapped up the 2015-16 season with an 8-16 overall record.

The Warriors were 4-12 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North, leaving them tied with Winfield-Mt Union in seventh place in the league. After an 0-2 start, the Warriors played their best basketball early in the year, winning five of their next seven games. WACO also scored a playoff win, routing Keota in the first round of regionals 46-19.

As a team offensively the Warriors struggled, shooting just 25% from the floor, bottom of the SEISC North, but they were sixth of 10 in three point shooting, checking in at 23%. The Warriors 32 points per game were eighth best in the conference. Defensively the Warriors allowed 47 points per game, eighth in the conference.

Individually, WACO was led by Halle Kissel and her 10 points per game, Kissel also led the Warrior defense with her 24 steals, Kissel pulled in 174 rebounds on the season, best on the Warriors and fourth best in the Superconference North. Kasey Sutton led the Warriors with 32 assists. The Warriors ended their season in the second round of regionals falling to the No. 4 ranked Burlington, Notre Dame Nikes on the road 75-30.
