The Winfield-Mt. Union girls track team participated at Tuesday’s Falcon Relays hosted by West Burlington High School.

The Wolves finished in fifth place in the Class B small school division out of five schools with their overall team score of 34 points. Pekin won the small school division and the overall meet with 192 points. WMU scored one event championship on the night with Cecelia Hemsworth taking the 800m run with her time of 2:46.13. Other top three finishes for the Wolves came from junior Hannah Buffington in the shot put with a throw of 30’8″ and from a pair of relays. The Wolves 4×100 team of Kiimberlee Warnstaff, Caitlyn Jamison, Karlee Schlee and Molly Jennings were third with their time of 59.45 seconds and the 4×800 team of Isabella Mertens, Whitney Vantiger, Allie McArtor and Cecelia Hemsworth was third in 11:51.64. The Wolves will next be in action Thursday when they travel to Danville.
