A senior on the WACO Warrior boys’ track team currently holds the fastest 200 meter time in Class 1A. Bryce Achen’s top sprint came during the Washington Relays on March 22nd, completing 200 meters in 22.86 seconds. His result is the fifth fastest in the entire state regardless of class, and enters this week’s competition with the best time in Class 1A.

Two members of the Winfield-Mount Union boys’ track team are right on Achen’s heels for the top 200 meter dash time. Senior Garret Baker’s best time was clocked at Thursday’s Danville Invitational, placing first with a time of 23.19 seconds. Junior Bryce Robinson finished one step behind Baker Thursday, crossing the finish line in 23.21 seconds.

Achen and the WACO boys’ track team will next be in competition on Tuesday, competing in the Mediapolis Co Ed Track Meet.
