The Yo-Ho Tools for a More Beautiful Iowa grant program is entering it’s third year. In conjunction with April’s Keep Iowa Beautiful month, the Yo-Ho Tools for a More Beautiful Iowa program gives communities and organizations grants up to $200 in tools to assist volunteers in clean up and beautification projects. Twenty-nine different towns received grant money through the program.

The town of Letts has received a grant for renovations to their city park and playground. The city of Oakville has been given funds to help with their Memorial Park and Welcome Park projects. Also, the community of Wapello was issued grant funds for maintenance on their hiking and walking trails.

Keep Iowa Beautiful was established in 2000, becoming the 23rd State Affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
