The latest 18-hole event for the Washington Demon boys’ golf team took place Tuesday afternoon in Oskaloosa.Thirteen area boys’ golf teams traveled to the Edmundson Golf Course for the annual Osklaoosa Invitational Golf Tournament. Washington finished the event in fourth place, shooting a collective 326 strokes. The Demons finished 10 strokes behind Williamsburg and Grinnell, who tied for the tournament championship.

Washington had two players finish in the top 15 of the individual competition. Junior Noah Enfield and sophomore Dalton Myers were among seven players who finished in a tie for ninth place, carding 10 over 80 for the event. Junior Tanner Coleman finished in a tie for 17th place, posting a 12 over 82. Sophomore Jacob Van Osdol capped the Demons’ scoring, finishing his round in 84 strokes.

The Demons return to competition this afternoon at the Amana Colonies Golf Course, participating in a non-conference triangular versus South Tama and Clear Creek-Amana. Tee time for the event is set for 4 p.m. .
