The annual Washington Invitational Golf Tournament is set for today at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The yearly 18-hole event hosted by the Washington Demon boys’ golf team will include athletes from Columbus, Decorah, Fort Madison, and Mount Pleasant.

The Demons and Fort Madison Bloodhounds both competed at Washington’s golf course Tuesday in a Southeast Conference triangular against the Fairfield Trojans. Washington posted their best nine hole score of the season, winning the meet with the lowest team score of 151.

Washington senior Derek Anding carded the best score on Tuesday, earning medalist honors with a one under 34. Junior Noah Enfield ended his day four shots behind Anding, taking third place overall. Sophomore Jacob Van Osdol recorded a four over 39, and sophomore Dalton Myers rounded out Washington’s scoring with a five over 40.

Tee time is set for 10 a.m. and the teams will compete throughout the afternoon at Washington’s Golf and Country Club.
