Two Southeast Conference boys’ golf teams will play a nine hole event against the Washington Demons tonight. The Fairfield Trojans and the Fort Madison Bloodhounds are scheduled to make the trip to Washington’s Golf and Country Club for a conference triangular against the Demons.

The Demons’ latest competition came last Thursday at the Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison, battling the Bloodhounds and the Mount Pleasant Panthers in league triangular. Washington finished the team competition in second place with 174 strokes, three shots behind Mount Pleasant for first place honors.

The top five individual scores came from the Panthers and the Demons. Mount Pleasant junior Trevor Mabeus was the meet’s medalist, carding a two over 38 during his half round of competition. Washington junior Noah Enfield posted a four over 40 for second place. Panther junior Jeff Cox shot the third lowest score, completing nine holes in 41 strokes. Demons sophomore Dalton Myers and junior Mason Rich round out the top five, finishing with 42 and 45 strokes, respectively.

Fort Madison senior Devin Kester posted the best score for the Bloodhounds, carding a 10 over 46.

Tee time is schedule for 4 p.m. and the teams will play throughout the evening at Washington’s Golf and Country Club. Listen to tomorrow’s sports page for results from the triangular.
