Fresh off of a second place finish last Thursday in Eddyville, the Washington Demon girls’ track team returns to competition tonight in Henry County. Washington will participate in the Panther Relays hosted by Mount Pleasant High School. Other teams participating in the meet include Cardinal, Cedar Rapids – Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Central Lee, Clear Creek Amana, Danville, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Mediapolis, New London, Van Buren, WACO, Wapello, West Burlington, Williamsburg, and Winfield-Mount Union.

The team’s latest competition saw Washington scored 131.5 teams points, taking second place in the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Freemont Invitational out of the eight team field. The Demons scored points in 19 events, recording multiple top six finishes in six events.

The Panther Relays are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and will run throughout the night at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant.
