At it’s 10th Anniversary reception Monday evening the Community Foundation of Washington County distributed over $35,000 to area non-profits. The money was given to 18 non-profits in Washington County who currently have an endowment fund invested with the community foundation. Some of the non-profits include Crooked Creek Christian Camp, Camp R.E.E.C.E., Friends of Lake Darling, Kalona Public Library and the Highland School Endowment.

In its 10 years, the Community Foundation of Washington County has distributed $220,000 to non-profits locally. The Community Foundation of Washington County is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.
