Governor Branstad has designated April as “Keep Iowa Beautiful Month” and Diamond Vogel Paint and Keep Iowa Beautiful have announced the grant awards for the 2016 Paint Iowa Beautiful program. The program provides free paint to a wide variety of public service projects throughout Iowa.

Locally, the Cotter Hometown Pride committee was awarded paint for a home, the Oakville Hometown Pride Committee received paint for a home privacy fence, a park gazebo and curbs/gutters. The Fairfield Beautification Commission received paint for homes, and the Hometown Pride Committee in Louisa County received paint for the one-room schoolhouse restroom and parking lot posts.

In 13 years of existence, the partnership has provided over 8,260 gallons of paint for 585 community projects in Iowa.
