The Mid-Prairie boys track and field team traveled to Mount Pleasant Thursday for their latest competition.

Top honors for the Golden Hawks on the night went to Levi Duwa who brought home Mid-Prairie’s lone championship, taking the shot put with his throw of 52’2″. Duwa also placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 144’3″. Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included a runner up finish for the distance medley team of Quinn Schmidt, Keaton Duwa, Cary Schaefer and Peyton Miller with their time of 3:48.98. Floyd Evans was third in the 800 with a time of 2:10.61. Evans was also fourth in the 3200 with a time of 10:29.58 while teammate Luke Sigler was fifth in the same event. Andrew Schwartz placed third in the 1600 with a time of 4:59.00, his teammate Ryan Errthum was fourth. The Golden Hawks will next be on the track Tuesday when they travel to Williamsburg.
