The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys track team finished second overall at Thursday’s Demon Relays.

Mid-Prairie finished with a team score of 86 points. Mount Pleasant was the meet champion with their score of 143 points. The Golden Hawks captured three event championships on the night. Two came from Levi Duwa in field events. Duwa bested the field in the discus with his throw of 150’2″. In the shot put Duwa threw 50’5.75″ to claim the title. Peyton Miller was Mid-Prairie’s other champion on the night, claiming the 800 title with his run of 2:09.52. Other top finishes for the Golden Hawks included Miller as runner up in the 400 with a time of 52.46 seconds, Cary Schaefer as runner up in the 200 in 24.26 seconds and Luke Sigler as runner up in the 1600 with his time of 4:51.21. The Mid-Prairie boys will next be on the track Monday when they travel to Wilton.
