It has been over two months since Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia passed away but his seat remains open. Republican Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa is the chairman of the committee on the judiciary. He recently spoke with KCII News about the lack of action to fill the seat and stated there have been 33 people nominated for justice not approved by the Senate and five of them were never brought up in the Senate. President Barack Obama has appointed Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court seat. Grassley said the position should be filled by the person who is elected president in November.
