The Coe College softball team stretched their winning streak to 12 games this week pounding rival Cornell in a doubleheader sweep.

The Kohawks beat the Rams 8-0 in five innings in game one and finished the doubleheader with a 2-0 shutout in game two. In game one Mid-Prairie grad Mallory McArtor was one for two with a solo home run and two runs scored. In the tighter game two, McArtor didn’t have the success at the plate, going 0 for 3, but made several important defensive plays at shortstop to help preserve the win. The Kohawks are now 16-2 overall, and will next be in action Tuesday when they travel to Buena Vista.
