Seventy-seven members of the Mid-Prairie High School Band and Choir recently returned from a trip to New York City.The group traveled 19 hours by bus to reach their destination. While there the group performed at the Lincoln Center which includes the Metropolitan Opera, Avery Fisher Hall and the New York State Theatre, St. John the Divine, St. Paul the Apostle and B.B. King’s Blues Club. The students were also able to go sight seeing at Times Square, Central Park, the 9/11 Memorial, China Town, Statue of Liberty, Radio City Music Hall, Grand Central Station, New York Harbor, the Brooklyn Bridge and a Broadway show. This is a trip that is taken by Mid-Prairie band and choir students once every four years.
