A 13-year veteran of the Washington County Emergency Communications department is leaving and the department is still looking to fill staffing voids. The personnel change was approved at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting and Cara Sorrells, E911 director for the county, explained Mandy Rourke is leaving the department. They have three employees in training currently but there are still positions to fill.

In other business, the supervisors also approved construction of a confinement feeding operation in Jackson Township, a fireworks permit application and a modification to the general assistance manual.
