The due date for the spring grants from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation is next week. Area non-profits have until Wednesday at 5 p.m. to submit applications for the spring grant cycle.

The largest grant in the foundation’s history was presented in November to the YMCA for $3.5 million. In the fall, the foundation received 76 requests for a total of $6,160,784, and they awarded 28 grants for $3,890,269. The foundation has helped a variety of projects across the area from athletic equipment for area softball leagues to maintenance work like roofs on area facilities, from veterans memorials to technology upgrades for students.
