The Washington City Council will meet in special session Tuesday evening. At their meeting last week the council voted to table a decision regarding a bond referendum for the YMCA. At that time City Administrator Brent Hinson explained that should they want to stay on schedule for an August vote a decision will have to be made at the upcoming special session meeting. The YMCA is raising funds to build a new facility in Washington.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the council will also consider a solid waste request for proposal for fiscal years 17 through 19 and consider a resolution for a public hearing to amend the unified commercial urban renewal plan.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington Public Library.
