Washington’s city wide spring clean up will be held next week, April 18-22. Residents are reminded stickers must be put on washers, dryers, freezers, air conditioners, televisions and other large appliances. The stickers can be purchased for $20 at City Hall. Couches, desks, mattresses, boxsprings and dressers require a $6 tag. Loose items must be in a cardboard box and there is a 100 pound limit per residence for construction materials, including carpet. Batteries, tires, hazardous materials like paint and concrete will not be picked up.

Also, the curbside yard waste pickup has resumed. City yard waste bags and bundled and tied limbs will be picked up on Tuesdays for homes west of 2nd Avenue and on Thursdays for homes east of 2nd Avenue.
