The Washington girls’ golf team is looking to protect their state champion status this week. The team is competing at the state tournament this Tuesday and Wednesday. Also, in Class 1A Columbus’s Kourtney Orr and in Class 2A Sigourney’s Stacy Mohr are competing as individuals.

The boys’ state golf tournament was held over the weekend and the Winfield-Mt. Union team placed fourth out of eight teams in Class 1A, with Kaleb Hagge taking third place. Washington’s Dalton Myers finished in 34th place and Sigourney’s Jordan Albert finished in 17th place. For details listen to KCII sports.
