Crack seal work in downtown Washington will be wrapped up this week. JJ Bell, construction and maintenance superintendent for the City of Washington, tells KCII News they began the project last week and will complete the final three blocks on the square this Thursday. The three areas left to crack seal are the east and south side of Central Park and East Washington Street in front of the State Theater. Also, the street sweeper will be operating on the other blocks around the square. Bell advises people to park elsewhere that evening because the air compressor used to clean out the cracks creates flying debris. The work will be done from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
