The Mid-Prairie and Iowa Mennonite School boys golf teams were in action Tuesday night at the Kalona Golf Course for the 18 hole, nine team Golden Hawk Invitational.

Mount Vernon won the event with a team score of 306. The highest area finish came from Mid-Prairie. The Golden Hawks finished seventh with their score of 404. The Golden Hawks were led by Collin Gingerich and his 98. Other scores for the Hawks included Ryan Slaubaugh with a 99, Zach Owens with a 101, Duncan McCain with a 106, Michael Callahan with a 118 and Ryan Smit with a 120.

Iowa Mennonite finished ninth with their score of 441. IMS was led by Drake Brezina with a 104. Other scores for IMS included Roman Slabach with a 108, Caleb Yoder with a 11, Trevor Leyden at 118, Tanner Thrapp with a 133 and Adrian Gonzales at 145.

The Mid-Prairie boys golf team will next be in action May 11th at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course for the River Valley Conference meet. IMS travels to the Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course tonight for the Southeast Iowa Superconference meet.
