The Mid-Prairie girls golf team saw their season come to an end Monday at the West Liberty Golf Course in their class 3A regional final meet.

Joining the Golden Hawks at the meet were Davenport Assumption, West Liberty and Centerville. The top two teams and top five individuals advanced to the state tournament. Centerville won the meet with their score of 378, West Liberty was runner up with a 395. Mid-Prairie finished fourth with their 452. The Golden Hawks were led individually by Allyson Wertz who fired a 93. She missed qualifying for the state meet as an individual by a single stroke. Paige Slabaugh shot 111, Lindsey Palmer finished with a 123, Kenzie Bontrager at 125, Olivia Nisly finished with a 130 and Abby Statler shot 134. The state golf meet will be held next week at Coldwater Links in Ames.
