Rosewood, Sagewood and Wedgewood are the names of the three new households under construction at the Halcyon House in Washington. KCII News had a chance to tour the progress with executive director Chris Marshall and marketing director Susan Wellington.

Marshall shared there will be a Snoezelen Room in the mid- to advanced-memory care household which has a variety of stimuli from lights to tactile pieces and sound effects to stimulate the brain. Marshall added the room will be accessible to the public likely on a monthly basis.

Each household addition will have 18 private bedrooms, its own dining space and community room. Work is expected to be complete in August. For photos from behind the scenes visit KCII Radio’s Facebook page.
