Science, technology, engineering and math – or STEM – will be the focus of a free program for young girls in Washington this summer. The Maker Girl Mobile is coming to Washington in June and is working with the Washington Public Library to organize the programs. Jenisa Harris, librarian, explains they will used 3D printers, laptops and tablets.

She adds the program is funded by the local AAUW, making it free for area students. The Make Girl Mobile program will have four sessions for girls in 2nd through 5th grade. There is limited availability and registration is open at the Washington Public Library.
