The Main Street Washington Incentive Fund recently got a boost of $50,000. The fund was presented the grant by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation earlier this month. Sarah Grunewaldt, director of Main Street Washington, explains the fund is used for projects in the downtown district like window repairs or a new awning. The non-profit group will reimburse half of the funds for the work up to $10,000.

Projects that have used this fund to improve downtown Washington include the State Theater facade, Horak Insurance and the Cafe Dodici suites. To apply for funding for a project contact Main Street Washington.
