Washington sophomore Dalton Myers is embarking on the biggest event of his high school golf career. A second place finish at last week’s district tournament at the Amana Colonies Golf Course has qualified Myers for today and tomorrow’s Class 3A State Golf Tournament in Livermore.

Myers has taken part in six 18-hole events for the Demons, carding an average score of 81.33 strokes. His season-best 18-hole outing took place during the sectional golf tournament at Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington, posting an 80.

Myers and the rest of the Class 3A field will play for statewide glory on the Spring Valley Course, Livermore’s par 72 course. The opening round tee time is set for 10:30 a.m.
