Summer reading programs are not only for kids in Washington, they’re for adults, too. Director of the Washington Public Library, Debbie Stanton shares the theme of Exercise Your Mind – Read goes along with the children’s fitness theme. She adds they’re working to set up a yoga class and a food scientist is going to come in for a healthy eating class. Also, one special program will bring in two local authors from Columbus Junction Ray and Shirley Hendrickson, who wrote different books but published them at the same time. For more information about summer reading for adults listen to Monday’s Washington Page on KCII and for a full schedule of events visit the Washington Public Library.
