The 108 members of the Washington High School class of 2016 graduated Sunday afternoon at the school’s 146th annual commencement ceremony. Curriculum director Veta Thode announced the two valedictorians Hannah E. Black and Kaitlin Roush, both had 4.0 grade point averages. Shannon Powers is the class’s salutatorian. Three seniors spoke at the event: Genevieve Cleverly, Elizabeth Schnicker and Sierra Wagner. Also, 85 scholarships were presented for a total of $114,950.
