Host families are needed in the Washington School District for the 2016-2017 school year for foreign exchange students. Lee Buchholz says three students will be coming to the district through the World Link International Exchange Program. There are only four requirements to be a host: a nurturing environment, three meals a day, transportation to school and program events, and their own bed in which to sleep, although they can share a room with another student.

He adds hosts can be retired people, families with students in the district or a single member home. He says it’s a chance to get to learn about another country while they learn about the United States. To get more information and sign up to host a student contact Buchholz at 653-3725.
