Thirty-three second through fifth grade girls took part in a STEM, science technology engineering and math, program this week in Washington. The Washington Public Library and AAUW teamed up to offer Makergirl Mobile, a program using 3-D printers with STEM students from the University of Illinois. Computer engineering student, Premika Pandian shared she hopes it leads to more females entering STEM fields. The four sessions were offered this week and the AAUW helped sponsor it, making it free for area students.
