More postseason accolades have been given to the Washington Demon boys’ soccer team (2-11 overall). The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association has named Washington senior Christian Mejia and freshman Caleb Suchan to the Class 2A all-state team as defenders.

Mejia concludes his high school soccer career as a member of the second team all-state squad. He tallied three goals this season and 13 during his Demon career.

Suchan was voted to the honorable mention all-state team. He was one of three Washington players to score five goals this spring. Suchan converted all four of his penalty kick opportunities. He is one of two freshman named to the all-state team, joining Jamin Klose of Keokuk as the only other first year varsity player.

The Demons season concluded with a 2-11 overall record.
