The Southeast Conference season resumes tonight for the Washington Demon softball team (9-21 overall).The Demons will make a trip south to the tri-states border for a league doubleheader versus the No. 7 Keokuk Chiefs (16-13 overall). The Chiefs swept the Demons in Washington on June 6, winning game one 16-4, and game two, 13-6.

Washington returns to the field after winning one game at this weekend’s Muscatine softball tournament, defeating the Louisa Muscatine Falcons (21-7 overall), 7-5. The Demons eclipsed last year’s win total with a 17-13 comeback victory over the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks last Wednesday, earning their eighth victory.

Keokuk returns to the diamond tonight after dropping a pair of games in the Solon Tournament Saturday. The Chiefs opened the tournament against Lincoln Railsplitters (10-21 overall), falling 1-0. Keokuk lost the second game to the Solon Spartans (23-8 overall), 3-1.
