Winners of five of their last seven the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team looks to keep their good stretch of play rolling tonight when they host the Wapello Indians at Paul N. Bailey Field in Wellman.

In their last action Monday night the Golden Hawks swept a River Valley Conference doubleheader against the West Branch Bears by matching scores of 9-1. The Hawks are led at the plate on the year by Keaton Duwa, he is hitting .325 with a team best 25 hits, 21 runs scored and 22 RBI. On the mound for Mid-Prairie Adam Schrock has a 4-3 overall record. In 38 innings of work he has a 3.29 ERA.

Wapello enters play with an overall record of 14-9. In their last action the Indians fell to New London 4-3 Monday night on the road. This season Wapello is led by Trace Howard, who is hitting .482 with a team best 40 hits, 37 runs scored and 18 RBI. On the mound Sam Short has a 3-0 record with 31 innings of work and a 3.80 ERA.
