The Mid-Prairie softball team is back on the diamond tonight when they host Iowa City Regina in a River Valley Conference doubleheader at Carr, Vincent, Gould Field in Kalona.

The Golden Hawks enter the game with a 5-9 overall record. Mid-Prairie knocked off Northeast, Gooselake last week by a 9-6 score. The Golden Hawks pushed across five runs in the last inning including a walk off grand slam from Amber Kral to grab the victory. Kral leads the Golden Hawks at the plate, hitting .524 with four home runs and 22 RBI. In the circle Cassidy Rourke is 4-5 with 46 innings of work and a 5.17 ERA.

Iowa City Regina enters tonight ranked No. 1 in the state in class 1A. The Regals are 8-3 on the year, dropping a pair of contests to class 5A schools this weekend in Johnston and Southeast Polk. Regina is led on the year by Suzy Lobodiak who is hitting .391. Emma Corkery is hitting .389 and leads the team with nine RBI. In the circle Sarah Lehman has a 3-2 overall record with a 0.81 ERA.
