The Iowa Cattlemen’s Association will be hosting the first annual BeefMeets in Riverside on Wednesday. The educational sessions are replacing previous years’ Iowa Cattle Industry Convention, which had been held in Des Moines in the winter. Four total BeefMeets sessions are being held across Iowa in an effort to reach more cattlemen.

The primary topic will be profitability. Speakers will address issues affecting operations, additionally lenders and economists will provide perspective on the current agricultural economy and strategies to help navigate it. BeefMeets will also include lunch, a full trade show, and an auction fundraiser. To register for the event, or for more information including a full list of speakers and topics, visit IACattlemen.org.
