A bonus round of summer reading is being held the month of July at the Washington Public Library. Director of the library, Debbie Stanton, explains students can pick up a bingo card for the month and each square has a different activity on it to mark off from reading a non-fiction book to riding a bicycle on the Kewash Trail. She said it’s to get kids reading and active. The event is free for students in grades kindergarten through fifth and the bingo cards are due back to the library August 1st to be included in drawings for prizes. Stanton adds she was pleased with the turnout at the events they held in June with their summer reading programs themed “Ready, Set, Read” and some events had 300 people in attendance.
