The Totally Tubular Transformation art project is returning to downtown Washington this summer in time for RAGBRAI. Isabella Santoro with the LET’s Center for the Creative and Healing Arts explains the goal is to recycle old water softener tubes in an artistic way. The fundraiser will benefit the LET’s Center and RAGBRAI Washington. Anyone interested can purchase a tube for $20 and then return it to Cafe Dodici. The tubes will be displayed downtown during RAGBRAI and auctioned off later.

Last year’s tube that raised the most money was painted to look like downtown Washington with the courthouse and building outlines and then had the evening sky look like Van Gogh’s Starry Night. For more information listen to the Washington Page with Santoro.
